VIVOBAREFOOT still requires its suppliers to sign the Code of Conduct and has visibility of its direct suppliers by geography. The brand commits to manage labour standards and human rights and has set internal targets to ensure it monitors and tracks its progress through 2016. These activities resulted in a level 1 score of 89%.
VIVOBAREFOOT has assigned responsibility for the management of labour standards and human rights in its supply chain to a senior manager. VIVOBAREFOOT continues to use a local team and third party auditors to monitor the social compliance of its suppliers, and has a system in place to monitor its suppliers that have a valid social compliance audit. There remains room for the brand to record the number of non-compliances identified by clause and monitor corrective actions. The brand could also develop purchasing practices that effectively ensure factories have adequate lead times, resulting in a level 2 score of 45%.
